LUPITA'S SELFIE OBSESSION
How many stars can you namecheck in one Instagram snap? Four (Adèle Exarchopoulos, Léa Seydoux, Elizabeth Olsen, Margot Robbie) if you're Lupita Nyong'o, the Oscar darling keen to capture her new friendships with Hollywood's finest. Shameless celeb snapping, and we like it.

PRADA CHEERLEADERS
Fresh out of Hollywood, with an Academy Award stowed in her luggage, Lupita Nyong'o jet setted to Paris to see the Miu Miu presentation. Stylist Micaela Erlanger posted this cute picture of the pair showing their support for designer Miuccia Prada en route.
Also on the Paris-bound plane was Jared Leto, leading us to seriously question whether the award winning duo are actually having a romance...

MONCLER CROSSES THE GENDER DIVIDE
Moncler Gamme Rouge is moving into menswear. Giambattista Valli's collection featured overcoats with wide, emergency horizontal stripes in red and lime and some pseudo-military fatigues with wide yellow piping and thick ribbed jersey trousers. These, like nearly all the looks in this understated show, were presented on models of both genders. A men's grey coat with a back panel of silver spines and a matching woman's bomber were great urban defence wear, if a little impractical. The closing red floral parkas were the standout pieces in a collection that convincingly crossed the gender divide. Apart from the meggings. Luke Leitch

WE WANT CANDY
If you thought that all the supermarket flora and fauna at yesterday's Chanel's A/W '14 presentation was just for show, think again. Karl Lagerfeld has gone all sweet on us and fashioned covetable Chanel bracelets out of the edible candy jewellery we used to stuff our pick 'n mix bags with.

HANDBAG ENVY
We spotted Russian model Natalia Vodianova clutching one of Louis Vuitton's new Petite-Malles on the front row of the label's A/W '14 show. The miniature trunks, which are heartbreakingly 'price on demand', come in two incarnations, but we would quite happily take one boasting a removable cover. Read our detailed inspection of the Petit-Malles here, while we hope, wish and pray.

THE SHOW WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR
Nicolas Ghesquière kept it real for his inaugral Louis Vuitton collection with Sixties-inspired A-line numbers hinting at bourgeois French chic and the Belle De Jour. Read Lisa Armstrong's show report here

GHESQUIÈRE SAYS HELLO
Ahead of his debut show at the helm of Louis Vuitton, Nicolas Ghesquière welcomed an eager crowd with the following message...

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN'S RURAL TRIBUTE

THE UNLIKELY ACCESSORY
In keeping with McQueen's Where The Wild Things Are setting the models wore chain mail hand jewellery laced with tiny leaves and acorns. We're going nuts for them.
THE NEW CORN ROW
Hats off to the Alexander McQueen models who endured five hours of painful braiding and eyelash extensions ahead of the A/W '14 show. Certainly a stand-out beauty look of the season, but how did they get these tightly wound plaits out? We hope there was a tangle teezer involved.
ANNA SITS SECOND ROW
Nope, this is not some kind of Photoshop prank, but Wall Street Journal columnist Christina Binkley's view of the Valentino crowd. Due to overcrowding on the frow, Wintour kindly let the Vogue staff, who were filing copy on the show, take the prime spot in the house. Respect.
HOW TO GET RIHANNA-READY
If, like us, you have been surveying Rihanna's PFW wardrobe marathon this candid Instagram snap of the star getting ready will be most enlightening. How does RiRi look so immaculate on the front row? With the help of a make-up artist and two dressers to a) fasten on her suspenders and b) make sure she is wearing decent undergarments. Not to mention the boxes and bags full of clothes that feature in the picture too…

VALENTINO'S ODE TO MEDIEVAL PRINCESSES
Fans of Valentino's capes and collars will be pleased to know that they are still sticking around come autumn.

INSIDE STELLA'S SHOPPING BASKET
We couldn't resist, we had to take a closer look at what was on the shelves of Karl Lagerfeld's supermarché. See what Stella Tennant and Cara Delevingne shopped for in our gallery of the show details and scenery.
WHAT CHANEL LADIES WEAR TO THE SUPERMARKET
If one overlooks the looting, today's Chanel show was easily the most magnificent of all Paris Fashion Week (albeit with Louis Vuitton still to come). In between classic schlock rock, a tannoy announcer breathed the deals of the day as models browsed the aisles in slim fit track pants, trainers - some of which were mid-calf-high - crop tops and trashy-fabulous oversized bouclé overcoats. PHARRELL'S HAT HITS PFW
OK, so it's not the music mogul's hat per se, but socialite Hannah Bronfman's nail art is a pretty good tribute to the Vivienne Westwood headgear.

A SNEAK PEEK INSIDE CHANEL'S SUPERMARKET
Karl Lagerfeld and his team turned the Grand Palais into an enormous, lavishly stocked Chanel hypermarket, with aisles brimming with tins of Chanel-branded groceries. Here are the first insider snaps to emerge on Instagram.

JEALOUS, US?
Oh, how to be fashion's flavour of the month. Kendall Jenner kindly shared her Givenchy haul from Riccardo Tisci with us via Instagram. So kind, no?

HEDI SLIMANE TRIUMPHS AT SAINT LAURENT
Slimane's habit of repeating the same note in different keys makes for an undeniably hypnotic, clear message. It's still black, still youthful, but probably not alienatingly so. Buyers have been told those bottom-brazing skirts won't be any longer for stores - but there were probably enough alternatives. Read Lisa Armstrong's show report here
